You can use these stars as ornaments, refrigerator magnets, or any place you would like to shine. And what is a star without twinkle? I decided to add some 3mm flat back Swarovski crystals to give them that glimmer and shine.
You may finish the wood naturally, using Mineral Oil and Shellac Spray to seal the wood, or you can use acrylic paints and DecoArt Gel Staining Medium, which is found at most Michael’s, craft stores, or anywhere that DecoArt products are sold. Mixed with acrylic paint, it makes a transparent stain that is both beautiful and economical. Of course you can finish these in any color you wish - red and green for Christmas or any other colore that will suit your taste.
