SLD397 - "SNOW" Word Art Blocks
This fun word art vignette is easy to make in a variety of ways to suit your personal taste and help you drive those winter blues away. The “SNOW” letters and snowman is fun and quick to cut and can be left in natural wood tones, or stained using DecoArt Staining and Antiquing medium along with acrylic paint to give a hint of bright color to the pieces. I also used a product by DecoArt called ‘Weathered Wood’ which is a clear gel that you apply between a dark base coat of paint and a light overcoat to give a fun, crackled effect. I used the Weathered Wood on the snowman’s body, as well as the face of the large snowflake and snowflake overlay pieces. Then I applied a coat of brush-on DecoArt Glamour Dust for a fine glittering effect to make everything sparkle. I know you are going to have a great time making this project, and I hope you try the fun and easy mediums to give your project that extra pizzazz and sparkle to warm you on a winter’s day!
