SLDP208 - "All Cracked Up" Snowmen Ornaments Painting Pattern
Winter is in the air! And what better way to warm your heart then with these fun and cheery ‘cracked up’ snowmen. I used DecoArt Weathered Wood to give these little guys their crackled fi nish. It is fun and easy to use and I found it gives them just the look that I wanted. I created a video showing how I applied the Weathered Wood that is available on my YouTube channel (http://www.youtube.com/user/scrollgirlcanada) You can go there to see it, as well as to subscribe. By subscribing to my channel, you will be notifi ed of any future videos that I will be adding in the future.
You can make these snowman as shown, spelling out ‘Winter’ to welcome the winter season, or paint them to spell out any phrase or name you wish using the full alphabet pattern provided. They will look lovely in a wreath, as a garland, or even as refrigerator magnets. You could also cut them of thicker wood (or order a set from Sheila Landry Designs) so you can stand them on a mantle, window sill, or arrange them on a dining room table as a centerpiece. Whatever you decide, they will be a fun addition to your home during that dreary time after the holidays when everything tends to look empty. They would even make a nice craft on a cold winter day when the kids are looking for something to do.
