SLDP224 - Traditional Damask Ornaments Painting Pattern
These beautiful ornaments are fun and easy to paint. By using DecoArt’s One Step Crackle along with their Metallic Lustre Acrylic Wax, they have the look of fine, aged porcelain. The One Step Crackle is applied over the base coat and dries shiny and clear. As you apply the Metallic Lustre wax over the dried crackle finish, you bring to life the tiny eggshell cracks that are subtle yet beautiful.
I finished my samples using a beautiful metallic gold float around each ornament, and then I painted the traditional Damask design followed by a coat of Glamour Dust Fine Glitter paint for a beautiful shimmer. Finally, I added some gorgeous (and EASY to apply!) crystal hot-fix rhinestones for that extra final touch.
You are going to LOVE making these ornaments and will find many other surfaces that you can use this technique on! See the related product links below for the wood kit and "Combo Set" deal for this design.
This pattern uses DecoArt Americana paints and mediums as well as Margot's MUD texture paste.
