Latest update and information . . .
I hope everyone has had an enjoyable summer. It certainly has been a warm one! It has been a good time to take advantage of the nice weather and do some things outdoors.
During these hot summer days, I have spent much of my time thinking of autumn leaves and Christmas and the holidays to keep cool. I know that soon it will be cooling off and everyone will be getting back to the shop and thinking about craft shows and Christmas lists and holiday decorating.
I have began designing a new series of projects which I hope will appeal to you all. They are Candle Tray and Charm sets and are a wonderful way to dress up your large jar candles that are so popular. Many people have large jar candles, such as Yankee Candles, but let’s face it – the jars themselves are sort of ‘blah’. I designed six different themed scroll sawn candle trays and matching charms to give those jars a bit of personality. Each set consists of a self-framing tray cut from a single piece of wood and a few matching charms which you can hang from the neck of the jars with some pretty wire ribbon. The trays can also double as small key or candy trays or even as a themed picture frame. The charms can not only be used with the candle, but also in decorating wreaths or garlands or even as package ties or refrigerator magnets or ornaments. They are very versatile, as well as fun to scroll.
For the month of August, I am offering these new patterns at the special price of $4.45 each or you can purchase all six for $25.00. I am also continuing to develop other patterns in this series and will have many more themes available in the future. Speaking of sets, I have decided to include the Endangered Forest Leaf Series in the mix and match sets of original Forest Leaf patterns (FLSet1 and FLSet2). Now you can order from both series at this low price. It is a great time to round out your Forest Leaf pattern collection.
I also have a new Nativity Nightlight that will be a nice addition to your Christmas decorating. The nightlight has a different nativity scene on each of the four sides. It is a pleasure to cut and a beautiful reminder of what the Christmas season is all about.
Also, don’t forget to download the free Snowman Simple Segmentation ornament. It will only be available for a limited time and it is a great opportunity for those of you who want to try the segmentation process.

Thank you again for your interest in my designs! In 1995 I created my company, "Toys In The Attic" as a vehicle to share my creativity with you. Many changes have occurred in my life recently, and I felt it was time to change my company name from ‘Toys In The Attic’ to 'Sheila Landry Designs'.
Originally, I came from the Chicago area in the United States. I began my woodworking and painting ‘career’ just after my daughter Danielle was born, nearly 19 years ago. A very dear friend of mine, Cari Denison, introduced me to scroll sawing and I have very fond memories of those early days with Cari of learning to scroll saw, painting and doing projects – all while watching our four young children and taking care of our houses and families! As the kids grew up, we eventually went our separate ways.
Life’s circumstances have brought me to Nova Scotia, Canada and I have been fortunate to be able to continue designing and working with Creative Woodworks as a Contributing Editor. My first design appeared in Creative Woodworks in April of 1997 and I have been working with them ever since. They have a wonderful site and offer some free projects online and their magazine offers the best designers in the scroll saw industry. (OK, I am prejudice!) I have recently achieved my Permanent Residence Status here in Canada after five long years of ‘red tape’. As a result of this new status, I will be able to finally settle down and get everything in order. This will, hopefully allow me more time to create new designs and work more efficiently. I have many new designs in the works, and am very excited to share them with you.
