This fun project is a great way to introduce you to the technique of segmentation. Each of the overlay pieces are segmented from a single piece of maple. Also, the paw prints on the frame are cut on a bevel and then removed, hand rounded, and then replaced for added dimension and interest (or, if you choose, you can just paint them on). There is also a full alphabet included so you can personalize your frame with the name of your favorite pooch. The sample was painted with easily available acrylic paints (full instructions included)
